Odyssey Counseling and Therapy

What to expect in therapy with me

I work to create a space where you feel safe to learn about yourself while working towards your hopes for the future.

My role is to support you in accessing your strengths, building resilience, and gaining insight to create a positive path forward. We will work together to explore your values and inner wisdom while developing skills to move you closer towards your goals for the future.

I create a supportive therapeutic space where I offer acceptance and understanding to foster growth. I tailor every experience to support each individual’s unique story and goals.

Trust is a top priority in my work. My conversational approach to therapy uses compassion, curiosity, mindfulness, somatic bodywork, and non-judgment. As we get to know each other over the course of therapy, we will most likely laugh together too.

Curious about my style of therapy?

I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based, eclectic approach to support individuals in achieving their therapy goals.

I use evidence-based treatments and bring an eclectic style to therapy, including Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and weave in skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support individuals in achieving their goals.

I am trained and certified in Somatic Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

I work with adults across the state of Maine. I provide one-on-one services in-person and virtually. I do not provide emergency or walk-in services.

There’s a lot that can feel overwhelming these days.

You don’t have to experience it alone.

Who do I work with?

I provide supportive and affirming care to individuals who are experiencing life transitions, relationship challenges, navigating complex trauma, exploring their identity and/or self-confidence, looking to develop a greater understanding of how their past is impacting their present, and developing skills to alleviate stress and/or experiences of anxiety/worry and embodied trauma.

I specialize in Women’s Issues, supporting individuals experiencing Anxiety, Traumatic stress, and Bipolar Disorder.

I have a passion for working with survivors of Domestic Violence and individuals struggling with complex trauma.
